Meditation – An Easy Way To Master Your Destiny

by Vastu Acharya Geetanjali (CEO MahaVastu London)

Take a look at anyone who has achieved great success in their lives. What do they all have in common?

From accruing riches to commanding great respect in their respective fields, and no matter what difficulties and challenges they have overcome on their own journeys, all these people have realised one important truth. To achieve, your mind has to be in the right place.

Meditation is the art of attention management. By contemplating your inner mind and experiencing the inner world through meditation, you can avoid the issues which come from uncontrolled attention – including stress, anxiety, fear and pain to name but a few.

Those people who have unknowingly or naturally touched the higher two and a half Koshas (from Mind body to Ananda body) have experienced growth in life. Flashes of new ideas, avenues and crucial decision making capabilities can be achieved only in these Koshas.

Maharishi Patanjali in his Yoga Sutras talked not only about the mind and its different levels, but also of how the mind can be elevated to the Vigyanmaya and Anandmaya Koshas, and even beyond them. In all the traditions of meditation (Dhyan)and all the religions, a single formula has been emphasized (though methods may vary) to be able to travel through inner world – ‘Fix your attention at one point and on one object.’

Then your consciousness starts changing its orbit, from physical Action body (Annamaya Kosha)to Feeling body (Pranmaya), from Feeling body to Experience body (Manomaya), from Experience bodyto Intuition body (Vigyanmaya) and finally, from Intuition to Joy body (Anandmaya Kosha). Basically the search is for bliss (Ananda)andso this is the ultimate goal.

This is what ShriKrishna meant when he spoke of the ‘Sahaj state’ in the Gita.Sahaj means ‘centred’ state establishing into your own centre. In many areas of your life, you are established in centeredness and in many others you are not. You might be in centred state while driving. If you are a painter, then while painting you are in the centred state; if involved in music, then while composing music you are in the centred state.

There is no such problem that cannot be solved at this level and in this condition. We need to go beyond our analytical and conditioned minds in order to get solutions and achieve growth in life. Solutions and ideas for growth appear the moment our consciousness, Inner mind, or deep meditative mind expands in the level of Intuition, i.e., in Vigyanmaya and Anandmaya Koshas.

At this level, in this very state of meditation, all your decisions prove right and beneficial – even beyond your expectations. You are able to see in a wider perspective. As a result, you are able to find a way out in any situation and move ahead in life. The entire universe seems to be supporting your cause. And you feel as if it’s not you who is working but the whole existence is working on your behalf. Maharishi Patanjali terms this state as Samadhi, a state in which you become the creator of your own destiny. You can also Master your Destiny by doing Dhayan, developed by Growth Guru Khushdeep Bansal.
